INSTRUCTIONS FOR COACHES

  • Please review your games and times for ALL FIELDS.
  • Please pick up your tech table package from the tech table. It will be at the field for the first game that you are assigned.
  • If there is a Technical Table, there will either be a whistle or horn to signal the start of each match, the end of the half, the start of the 2nd half, and the end of each match.
  • If there is no Technical Table person for the start of the match, the UMPIRES will signal the start of the matches, etc.
  • Teams should be prepared to start as soon as the air horn sounds. Although there is more time allocated this year, we still need to start matches on time.
  • Each match will consist of 2 × 20-minute halves and a 5-minute half-time
  • Matches during the round robin can result in a tie
  • At the end of each match, the coach (teacher-sponsor) from each team report the score to the tech table and text the score to the Tournament Committee per the email.

RULES REMINDERS

  • Green cards are 2 minutes in duration.
  • Yellow cards are a minimum of 5 minutes in duration; the umpire may extend the time depending on the severity of the infraction. Athletes who are issued cards will be required to sit at/by the Tech Table and only permitted back onto the field of play when the umpire (in conjunction with the Tech Table) indicates.
  • If the match is tied at the end of regulation for playoff matches for the 1st place teams in each pool plus the bronze and gold medal matches only, a shootout competition will be the tiebreaker.
  • As noted at the CSHSAA meeting, CLFHA will be following the same regulation whereby reverse “chip” shots are not permitted; it will be treated as an infraction similar to dangerous play.
