CALGARY LADIES FIELD HOCKEYASSOCIATION

STUDENT - SUMMER EMPLOYMENT POSITION

MAY and JUNE 2012

Calgary Ladies Field Hockey Association will be hiring one summer student for May and June 2012. The position starts May 1st 2012 and will run for May and June full time (max. 40 hours/ week).   The 40 hours per week may include a combination of daytime hours, evening hours, and weekend hours.  The position will be ultimately accountable to the Junior Development Coordinator and the President of the CLFHA with direct supervision from the Calgary Junior Program director.

DUTIES:      The successful candidate will be responsible for:

                       

Promoting field hockey in Calgary

School Program:  elementary/junior high - 1 week sessions.  Encourage schools to       participate in the schools festival.  Assist with organization of inter-school festival

CLFHA High School: assist at both junior and senior tournament

Community Programs:  coordinate volunteers, assign coaches and aid in delivery of program. 

CJP league and finals:  assist with league where needed.  Assist with league finals.

Submit a report to the CLFHA league executive.

                       

QUALIFICATIONS:

                       

•·         Technical expertise in Field and Indoor Hockey

•·         Teaching and Presentation skills

•·         Demonstrated ability to plan and prepare as well as deliver

•·         Level I NCCP candidacy is required - certification is preferred

•·         Applicants must have their own car

REMUNERATION:

•·         up to $14.00 per hour commensurate with qualifications

•·         payment will be made on a monthly basis

•·         mileage will be paid at the end of the contract at $.25/km
